Your main tasks

Conceptual design of structural components (sheet metal, extruded profiles, deep-drawn parts, welded assemblies and comparable technologies) in PTC Creo
Carrying out structural calculations using FE analyses to optimize the components under investigation in terms of stiffness, strength and crash design
Supervision of components/assemblies/functions from concept status to series production readiness (component responsibility; system responsibility; functional responsibility)
Ensuring the mechanical and functional integration of the components in the overall vehicle
Responsibility for component release for prototype, sample & series production with regard to functionality, quality, certification conformity and industrialization capability
Reporting of the development progress to the executive, as well as milestone reporting and preparation of release recommendations incl. documentation

Your profile

Successfully completed studies with a focus on mechanical engineering, materials science, automotive engineering or a comparable technical oriented education, ideally automotive engineering
Knowledge in the field of joining techniques
Professional experience in the area of design/simulation of structural components or with component responsibility in the automotive environment
Profound knowledge in the use of common CAD and PLM systems, ideally PTC Creo / Windchill;
Advanced knowledge of CAE software, ideally Ansys, LS-Dyna;
Confident, friendly appearance, as well as a high level of communication and teamwork skills;
Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken; High level of analytical competence
