Expert Engineering Chassis & Safety with Focus on Axle Development (m/f/d)

Your main tasks

  • System and component responsibility for axle systems, test evaluation and support at system and component level within the Chassis & Safety department
  • Creation, review and implementation of system and component concepts in the area of axle system development
  • Construction, commissioning and support of prototypes and test vehicles incl. validation of concepts and vehicle functions
  • Close coordination with all internal and external project partners (design pool, suppliers, purchasing, quality, homologation, production, etc.)
  • Supervision and coordination of system and component tests within the department
  • Master data maintenance as well as documentation and release of components in the PLM system PTC Windchill
  • Reporting of the development progress to the technical project management
  • Carrying out documentation, component changes (change requests) and releases of the corresponding components / assemblies / functions
  • Creation of requirements and specifications for the components / assemblies / functions as well as decision templates
  • Support of the components / assemblies / functions from concept status to series production (component responsibility; system responsibility; function responsibility)

Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies with a focus on mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a comparable technically oriented education (welding engineer is a plus)
  • Experience with the evaluation of FEM and MKS results desirable
  • Professional experience with component responsibility in the automotive environment as well as knowledge in the field of sheet metal processing is advantageous
  • Profound knowledge of common CAD and PLM systems, ideally PTC Creo / Windchill
  • Confident, friendly manner as well as a high degree of communication and team skills, willingness to travel (10% share)
  • Flexibility, independent and solution-oriented way of working
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
