Your main tasks

System and component responsibility for suspension and damping systems, complete vehicle and wheels/tires
Creation, review and implementation of system concepts in the area of body suspension and damping in the context of the entire vehicle
Construction, commissioning and support of prototypes and test vehicles incl. validation of concepts and vehicle functions
Close coordination with all internal and external project partners (design pool, suppliers, purchasing, quality, homologation, production, etc.)
Acceptance of functions and applications at the supplier's as well as support in approvals of vehicle functions in cooperation with approval authorities within the scope of component and system responsibility
Master data maintenance as well as documentation and approval of components in the PLM system PTC Windchill
Reporting of the development progress to the technical project management
Carrying out documentation, component changes (change requests) and approvals of the corresponding components / assemblies / functions
Creation of requirements and specifications for the components / assemblies / functions as well as decision templates
Support of the components / assemblies / functions from concept status to series production (component responsibility; system responsibility; function responsibility)

Your profile

Successfully completed engineering studies (mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or similar) with reference to vehicle technology, chassis and component development
Experience in the field of vertical and lateral dynamic tuning of vehicles, in vehicle control up to the limits (lateral dynamics) as well as in motor sports (karting or similar) is desirable
At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
Knowledge of dynamic vehicle testing
Professional experience with responsibility for components in the automotive environment as well as knowledge in the field of sheet metal working is advantageous
Profound knowledge of common CAD and PLM systems, ideally PTC Creo / Windchill
IT knowledge of Adams and CarSim desirable
Ability to communicate and work in a team
Willingness to travel (20% share)
Flexibility, independent and solution-oriented way of working
Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
