Head of Homologation (m/f/d)

Your main tasks

  • Technical and disciplinary management and guidance of the homologation team
  • Management of homologation and certification projects for the EU (vehicle level)
  • Advising top management on the definition of target markets
  • Advise top management on homologation related deadlines
  • Control of the homologation budget in consultation with the division manager
  • Reporting of the homologation progress to the technical project management
  • Liaising with external stakeholders (technical services, type approval authorities, industry associations, testing laboratories)
  • Process-secure and complete documentation of technical issues
  • Initiation, establishment, further development and coordination of strategic partnerships
  • Close coordination with all internal and external project partners

Your profile

  • Completed technical studies FH/TU or education and training
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of vehicle homologation
  • Regulatory knowledge regarding applicable framework legal acts (EU regulations (EU) 2018/858, (EU) 2019/2144, (EU) 2020/683, etc.);
  • Regulatory knowledge regarding applicable individual legal acts (relevant EU/UN regulations).
  • Experience in project management
  • At least advanced knowledge in MS-Office
  • Knowledge of ERP and PLM software (esp. Windchill) is an advantage
  • Experience in homologation software (esp. CERTassit, Typemaster) is desirable
  • Experience in material data software (esp. IMDS) is desirable
  • Strong leadership, communication and delegation skills as well as assertiveness
  • Willingness to take decisions and responsibility
  • Ability to work independently, flexibility and high performance motivation
  • Understanding of organization and cross-divisional entrepreneurial thinking, ability to work in a team
  • High analytical competence and pronounced quality awareness
  • Confident, friendly appearance
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
