Your main tasks

  • Purchasing responsibility for defined "non-production material commodity groups" (e.g. services, CAPEX, logistics) with reporting to the respective manager
  • Responsibility for the following tasks of the managed commodities in coordination with the respective manager:
  • Contact person to all internal stakeholders and suppliers for the respective commodity groups
  • Observation of the procurement markets - local market analysis
  • Identification, selection, development, and maintenance of suppliers
  • Tendering, review, and comparison of offers ("benchmark")
  • Negotiations: prices, commercial terms, and contracts
  • Conducting contract negotiations
  • Order processing: purchase - to - pay
  • Data maintenance in the ERP system / master data maintenance and archiving
  • Tracking of order confirmations, deadlines and invoice clarifications
  • Preparation & management of annual negotiations
  • Support in the development of commodity group strategies; derivation and implementation of procurement strategies / supplier strategies
  • Processing of internal requirements via electronic requisition and preparation of purchase orders
  • Determination and implementation of possibilities for cost reduction
  • Active involvement in escalations / complaints
  • Cooperation in interdisciplinary projects / assumption of project responsibility in internal PUR projects
  • Reporting of key figures
  • Visits to trade fairs and suppliers

Your profile

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a procurement position in the automotive or mechanical engineering industry
  • Knowledge of procurement processes
  • Very good communication and negotiation skills
  • Reliability, confidentiality, and initiative
  • Assertiveness and flexibility
  • Very good knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and ERP systems
  • Very good German and good English skills (written and spoken)
