The manufacturer of electric city cars E-Go Mobile wants to expand its portfolio and score points with quick battery changes instead of long charging times. To finance the ideas and expand the E-Go ecosystem, an IPO is on the cards.

The Aachen-based manufacturer of small electric cars has been toying with an IPO for some time. Now the plan seems to be becoming reality. Next E-Go Mobile SE already made the move official in mid-March. In practical terms, this will see the carmaker slip into an operationally inactive public company, Athena Consumer Acquisition Corp (so-called SPAC process). The move would significantly improve the capital position of the manufacturer, which went bankrupt at the start of the corona pandemic. This would be used to ramp up production capacity in perspective.
